Offset_Edition “The Eagle In Emotion”.

“The Eagle In Emotion” is a limited Offset_Edition of 250 pieces in the format DIN A0 (84,1 x 118,9 cm) on 250g paper, numbered an signed.

It is an allusion to E. Muybridges “The Horse In Motion”, who published a plate, to describe his innovative technique to make pictures in sequences with short time exposure, to show movement studies.

Muybridges “The Horse In Motion”

Equivalent to Muybridges technical description, “The Eagle In Emotion” is described with an essayistic poetry:

Only the light, lying on the photographic material shows a multistable perception of the same form reflecting. Drawn by light without a camera..the impression of motion arises only by passive animation of the form…light seems both to us, the “substantial” and “insubstantial”- gasoline on the soul…

Edition “Study of a flame”

“Study of a flame I”, 2014, Full HD Video (loop), color, no sound.

The Video shows, similar to the photographic movement studies of Eadweard
Muybridge, a burning flame, fliting through the screen. Like organic sureal animals,
flame by flame the movement runs. The flame is followed by itself through
a time shift. The periods of the moving flame row create the illusion of an imagination
- that the flames are different, and plays with the perception itself.
